Tracey trained at the BBC and worked on a variety of drama, children's programmes and documentaries, before realising her ambition to work in the comedy department.  She was part of production teams on iconic shows, including Only Fools and Horses,  working with a wealth of major comic talent.  After a spell as a casting assistant, Tracey was given the opportunity to become the in-house casting director by Geoffrey Perkins, then Head of BBC Comedy.


Tracey cast major in-house BBC comedy and comedy dramas including: Jonathan Creek; Miranda; The Office; Extras; Little Britain and Psychoville.  Since leaving the BBC to set up Tracey Gillham Casting in 2012, Tracey's cast shows for the UK's major broadcasters and continued to work with great teams on shows like Inside No 9; Catastrophe; Back; Derek; Not Going Out; Trying Again and Benidorm.  She has been joined by Casting Associate, Michelle Cavanagh - who specialises in casting children.


Tracey's also cast several films, the most recent being David Brent: Life on the Road.
